I am a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Physical Society, European Geosciences Union &
European Mechanics Society, and a fellow of the American Geophysical Union, Institute of Mathematics and its Applications & Institute of Physics.

The 2010 UK MHD Meeting was held here on May 20-21, 2010.

The 17th International Couette-Taylor Workshop was held here on July 25-27, 2011.



Research Interests

I am a member of the Astrophysical & Geophysical Fluids group.  I am particularly interested in theoretical/numerical modeling of liquid
metal lab experiments, as discussed in detail in the first two of the items below.  I welcome email enquiries from potential PhD students.
